Rule 96
Instructions for preparation and submission of tenders
In the documents related to tenders, when giving instructions for preparation and submission of tenders, instructions may be given regarding the following subjects:-
(a) Language in which bids are to be prepared,
(b) the method of expressing the price in accordance with the International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) used in international trade,
(c) Necessary information about joint ventures,
(d) List of documents to be submitted by the bidder along with the bid,
(e) the number of samples and samples of goods to be submitted by the bidder to the concerned local authority,
(f) In the case of purchase of goods, the list of spare parts of such goods recommended by the manufacturer of the goods to be supplied and the balance quantity of each spare part, price per unit and whether the price of such spare parts will increase after the expiry of the purchase agreement need not be mentioned. br> (g) The manufacturer, country of manufacture, brand, model and catalog number of the goods to be supplied by the bidder should be disclosed in the bid,
(h) Name, position, and address of the contact staff designated by the local body to clarify the matter in case the bidder needs to understand something with the public body regarding the procurement process,
(i) If the bidder has to provide training to the employees of the local body according to the purchase agreement or if technology has to be transferred to such body, related matters. (j) The right to approve or reject submitted bids is reserved to the local body,
(k) Other matters deemed necessary by the local body.
